About

Welcome to ChicagoCulinarian.com. As a trained reporter, it’s hard sometimes to use the “I” word (translation: blog). But, in my paid-for writings about chefs, cooking, farmers, food, and the business of food, so many other stories pop up. They, too, deserve the same recognition. Enter ChicagoCulinarian, a blog / e-zine / online space / website covering chefs, restaurants, cooking, cocktails, farms, markets, and other aspects of the Chicago culinary world that make this city such a national food destination. For the culinary professional, ChicagoCulinarian a place to peek into the kitchens of other businesses, find out what colleagues are doing, and learn about burgeoning trends. For the culinary lover, ChicagoCulinarian.com is a place to read about new restaurants and good eats, find out what Chicago chefs are up to, pick up cooking tips and recipes, get the scoop on farmer’s market finds, track events, or just read my food-focused ramblings and more. For both, it’s a celebration of Midwestern culture and cuisine. Please feel free to email ideas, tips and suggestions to amelia@amelialevin.com.
